April 26, 2003: Green returns to the landscape in rural southeast Lincoln.

April 11, 2003: An early Spring sunset north of Lincoln.  The sun is setting north of west this time of
year (note the east-west highway as we look west).  Smoke from grass fires in the Flint Hills
of Kansas has created day time haze and red sunsets.

red than the top as it visually sinks into the shallow layer of haze.

April 6, 2003: A total of 4.2 inches of snow fell in Lincoln over the weekend.  This
brings the total to 52 of the past 104 months of April have had measurable snowfall and
52 of the past 104 months of April have NOT had measurable snowfall.  So, the
April 2003 snowfall is not all that unusual.

April 6, 2003: An April fools joke a few days late on April 6, 2003 brings a
blanket of snow to Lincoln.  Green grass pokes up through the snow.
