NWS NEWS: Record Warmth in Lincoln and Omaha on Monday

THE HIGH TEMPERATURE IN LINCOLN TODAY REACHED 78 DEGREES.  NOT ONLY
WAS THIS A RECORD FOR THE 19TH OF NOVEMBER...IT WAS ALSO THE LATEST
IN THE YEAR THAT 78 DEGREES OR WARMER WAS OBSERVED IN LINCOLN. THE
PREVIOUS LATEST 78 OR WARMER WAS NOVEMBER 18TH 1908 WHEN THE
MERCURY REACHED 78. THE PREVIOUS RECORD HIGH FOR NOVEMBER 19TH WAS 73
DEGREES IN 1949.

A RECORD HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 73 DEGREES WAS SET AT
OMAHA EPPLEY AIRFIELD TODAY. THIS BREAKS THE
OLD RECORD OF 72 FOR NOVEMBER 19TH SET IN 1942
